3 Days, 3 Quotes Challenge (#1)

Hey everyone!

Today, when I opened my email, there was a gift in there for me in the form of a nomination for the 3 Day, 3 Quotes Challenge from Dream It Alive! I am very excited about this as this is the first time I have been nominated for anything.

So here it goes!

1. Thank the person who nominated you.
2. Post a quote for 3 consecutive days (1 quote for each day).
3. Nominate three new bloggers each day.

Dream It Alive,

“So, please, oh please, we beg, we pray, go throw your TV set away, and in its place you can install, a lovely bookcase on the wall.”

-Roald Dahl

At the time he wrote this quote, Roald Dahl had prematurely predicted the adverse effect that television would have on the imaginations of children and this was his way of trying to ensure that doesn’t happen. He did succeed to some extent. Nobody who has read a book can honestly say that they enjoy watching the “Idiot Box” more.

This quote was in honour of the quote in Dream it Alive’s last post of this challenge.
